The important details

Terms of Use

Last updated 4 August 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply when you use EventDrop, whether you create an event gallery as a host or upload to one as a guest. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

EventDrop lets a host create a private event gallery and invite guests to upload photographs and videos. Hosts are responsible for keeping their gallery link, and any enabled passcode, secure and for downloading anything they want to keep before the retention period ends.

3. Photo and video retention

Photos and videos are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after the event date.

Guests can upload and the host can download the gallery until the deletion deadline, which falls 30 days after the event date. Guests cannot download gallery files. Once the deadline passes, the gallery's photo and video files are removed from EventDrop.

Deletion is permanent. Only the host can download files from the gallery. Guests upload their files but cannot browse or download the gallery. Hosts should download the gallery before the deadline, and guests should keep their original copies. EventDrop is not a permanent storage or backup service.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you upload. You give EventDrop permission to store, process and display it only as needed to operate the gallery and provide downloads. You must have the right to upload the content and must not upload anything unlawful, harmful, infringing or invasive of another person's privacy.

5. Hosts and guests

Hosts control who receives their gallery link and can choose whether to require a passcode. Guests should only access and contribute to galleries they have been invited to. Hosts are responsible for making guests aware of appropriate use of their gallery.

6. Payments

Any price and payment terms are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless required by law, charges are not refundable after an event gallery has been activated. If you think you're entitled to a refund, email [email protected].

7. Availability and liability

We aim to keep EventDrop available and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EventDrop is not responsible for losses caused by content that was not downloaded before its stated deletion date, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to a serious breach of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above shows when they were last updated. Material changes will apply from the date the updated terms are published.
